Importing ReviewsUpdated 2 years ago

Importing reviews from an external review platform is easy.

We have a template available that has some sample data that indicates what each column is used for. To download the template, log into your Shopify Store and go to Apps > Kooee Reviews > Import/Export > and then in the general import section there is a link to download a template.

Please also reference the table below for more details.

PLEASE NOTE: Importing always "Adds" each review and does not "Update" existing reviews.

CSV FIELDS

order_id 
  • Optional field
  • This is the reference ID of the order the review was submitted against.
shopify_order_id
  • Optional field
  • The uniaue ID of the Shopify Order.
  • To find the order ID, log into Shopify and open the edit page of the order. The URL will end in a long number. This is the Order ID
  • eg. 4763322613833
shopify_product_id
  • Optional field
  • The ID of the Product this review is assigned to.
  • To find the product ID for a product, log into Shopify and open the edit page for the product. The URL will end in a long number. This is the Product ID
  • eg. 8340080165165

shopify_customer_id
  • Optional field
  • The ID of the Customer this review is assigned to.
  • To find the Customer ID for a product, log into Shopify and open the edit page for a customer. The URL will end in a long number. This is the Customer ID

name
  • Required
  • The name of the reviewer. This is submitted by the customer when they submit the order
  • eg. John Smith
location
  • Optional field
  • The location of the reviewer. This is submitted by the customer when they submit the order
  • eg. New York
rating
  • Required
  • The star rating out of 5. Use a numerical value from 1-5
  • This is submitted by the customer when they submit the order
  • eg. 4
review
  • Optional field
  • The written review that was submitted by the reviewer
  • eg. Wow, what fantastic service and products
approved
  • Required field
  • Enter a value of either 0 or 1
  • 0 indicated an unapproved review. Unapproved reviews do not display to customers.
  • 1 indicates an approved review.

created_at
  • Optional field
  • The time stamp indicating when the review was submitted
  • eg. 2023-05-08 00:00:53
tag
  • Optional field
  • Tags can be used to group reviews together when displaying them
  • Comma seperate for multiple reviews
  • ie. store, christmas
shopify_product_handle
  • Optional field
  • The end of the customer facing URL
review_response
  • Optional field
  • A reply written by the store owner. This displays publicly under the review
